Mapping Imagined Geographies of Revolutionary Russia

PBC0071: dread of anarchy

PBC 71 performs a pro-revolutionary work’s dread of anarchy. Often this feeling emerges through various voices, for example, a “bourgeois” lamenting that Russia has perished (W603) or a drifter drinking, cursing the present, and remembering the lost order of ancient Muscovy (W189). This PBC can also emerge through natural images of wild rivers, seas, or mountains (W190).
