PBC0279: hope for solidarity
PBC 279 expresses a relatively rare feeling of hope for solidarity between workers and peasants, all as part of “global labor collective…of the factories and grain fields” (W84). The village is seen as the “sister of the cities in revolt” (W445). It is worth noting that this PBC typically applies to late-civil-war poetry when the Bolsheviks were winning and trying to build some bridges to the peasantry, who were typically anything but Bolshevik.
