PBC0269: hope for victory
PBC 269 expresses nationalist hope for the victory of the White armies. One instance envisions Rus’ as “crucified,” though now near to “resurrection” (W90). Rus’ has picked itself up and is on the move to draw the circle tight around Moscow and drive out the Bolsheviks (W91, W477). A historical note: up through fall 1919 the nationalists and their supporters had strong hopes of driving out the Bolsheviks.
