PBC0164: pride in heroism

PBC 164 is a common expression of bombastic tsarist braggadocio and pride in the heroism of Russian soldiers. One example proclaims that “welcoming Russia will prepare for their enemies a bounteous feast” (W33). Another speaks of the motherland “going to grandeur” (W37). Other examples imagine soldiers speaking about fighting “for the glory of great Russia” (W39), while others announce the spread of real national spirit, that “The spirit of Russia is growing” (W123).
