PBC0019: faith in worker creativity

PBC 19 expresses Proletkult Bolshevik poets’ faith that workers will transform traditional religious values in the hell fires of factories. The factory workers have taken the power to dismantle old gods in the “machine hell” (W211) and themselves, “dying, we rise again” (W31). The factories have given birth to the “iron Messiah” who is “erasing lines and borders” (W071).
