PBC0115: empowerment

PBC 115 derives a pro-revolutionary sense of empowerment from several powerful Biblical models to foretell a bright new future world. The Earth awaits a new messiah. “We,” the revolutionaries, are pictured at times as the “red harbingers/ Of the new messiah coming to the world” (W79) and at times as “soldiers of the Messiah” (W544). In another instance, “We are carrying to the earth tablets/ from our gray Sinai” (W315). Elsewhere, the village, in “an embrace with the cities,” is “creating paradise on Earth” (W445).
